Dianne Arbeiter was a 25-year Special School District employee who headed the deaf and hard-of-hearing programs. She died of cancer in 2001. Her dedication to students with hearing disabilities has inspired her co-workers and family to organize a tribute evening to Dianne to raise money for scholarships, camperships and equipment for students served by the deaf and hard-of-hearing programs. To date $200,000 in scholarships and camperships have been awarded in Dianne's memory.
