WEST COUNTY BUSINESS TO SPONSOR CHARITY EVENT

F.O.B. Saint Louis, Inc. Hosts Garden Party to Benefit Children with Disabilities

Picturesque gardens and resort-like surroundings of a Chesterfield home provide the setting for “A Walk in Through an Enchanted Garden” to be held at the home of John and Alison Andrews on Thursday, June 22. F.O. B. Saint Louis, Inc., a home furnishing store located in Town and County, is hosting the garden party from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. The evening will feature door prizes, cocktails, two appetizer buffets and a tour of an exceptional home and gardens. Tickets are $60.00 per person or $100.00 per couple. Proceeds will benefit the Special Education Foundation.

“F.O.B. Saint Louis, Inc. is so thrilled to sponsor this garden party that will assist so many children with special needs,” states Kay Wallace, founder and owner of the store. “We feel honored to be a part of such a worthy endeavor. We plan to have a fabulous and fun-filled evening in the beautiful surroundings of the Andrews home, while at the same time helping a lot of children.”

In keeping with the garden theme, a highlight of the evening will be the garden extravaganza of gifts. Garden-like items will be sold throughout the evening similar to a silent auction. Guests will have the opportunity to leave with unique home accessories that will enhance their gardens and their home décor. Garden party attire will be applauded. All contributions are tax-deductible. Valet parking will be provided.

“Alison and I look forward to having this event in our home.” says John Andrews, owner of Lawns of Distinction, a landscaping and landscape design company in Chesterfield. “Giving back to our community to help children with disabilities was a prime motivator for us in holding this event. We, like F.O.B. Saint Louis, Inc., feel honored to be helping such a worthy group of kids.”

The Special Education Foundation is a not-for-profit 501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to assist students with disabilities to achieve success in their efforts beyond the classroom. The Foundation does this through scholarships, summer camps, mini-grants, specialized equipment such as hearing aids and eyeglasses, leadership programs, parent support groups and recognition for student achievement. The Foundation depends solely on private donations for support and receives no money from government sources, the United Way or the Special School District.
