We accept credit cards and checks.     Special Education Foundation considers funding requests for specialized equipment and other special needs for students with disabilities on a quarterly basis. These include: hearing aids eyeglasses computer equipment classes or training The aim of the Foundation is to enhance the education or the independence of students or to improve their quality of life through these grants. Financial need is a key factor in the decision process. Applications may be submitted at any time. The Foundation purchased a new Verifit system for the SSD audiology department. The equipment is essential in providing digital analysis and programming for childrens' hearing aids to enhance effectiveness.  SSD audiologists Deb Quick and Margaret Pikora study the frequency range of hearing aids on the system's monitor.  Audiologist Sue Marshall adjusts a student's hearing aids.
