The Special Education Foundation (SEF) is pleased to welcome Nick Scholz as our newest SEF Board Member.

Nick is an attorney with extensive experience helping individuals, families, and family businesses plan for the future. His practice includes estate planning, wills, and trusts, with a specialized focus on special needs planning—including special needs trusts, guardianships, and conservatorships. Nick is deeply passionate about ensuring that individuals with disabilities are cared for, protected, and supported for the long term.

Throughout his career, Nick has guided families through complex legal systems, offering not only sound legal counsel but also compassionate, practical support—particularly in matters involving mental illness and developmental disabilities. His commitment to advocacy and education extends into the community, where he has provided training at mental health centers to help families and professionals better navigate these important issues.

Nick is honored to serve on the SEF Board and to contribute his expertise in support of the Foundation’s mission to enhance the quality of life and education for students in St. Louis County. We are grateful for his dedication and look forward to the impact of his leadership.
