Volunteers play a vital role in helping the Special Education Foundation (SEF) fulfill its mission of supporting students with disabilities. Through the generosity of community members who give their time and talents, SEF is able to expand programs, host events, and provide opportunities that help students build confidence, independence, and meaningful life experiences.
For more than 40 years, SEF has helped thousands of students served by the Special School District of St. Louis County by funding programs and services not supported by tax dollars—ranging from scholarships and adaptive equipment to leadership development and summer camp opportunities. None of this work would be possible without a dedicated network of volunteers who step forward to support the Foundation’s mission.
