The countdown to the biggest day of giving in St. Louis has officially begun! While the main event for Give STL Day 2026 is set for May 7, you don’t have to wait to make a difference.
Early giving is now open through May 6!
This year, the Special Education Foundation (SEF) has set a goal to raise $5,000 to support our Kid-to-Camp program. Every dollar raised during this campaign goes directly toward providing “camperships” for students with disabilities served by the Special School District (SSD). This year, SEF will help dozens of students attend camp.
Why Kid-to-Camp Matters
For many kids, summer camp is a special tradition. For students with disabilities, it can be a lifeline. When school is out, some students lose the daily routine and social time that are so important for their growth.
The Kid-to-Camp program makes sure money isn’t a barrier to growth. With your help, students can benefit in these ways:
· Social Connection: Building meaningful friendships in a supportive environment.
· Skill Maintenance: Keeping up with learning and social skills during breaks.
· Independence: Building confidence through new experiences and time outdoors.
· Support for the Whole Family: Giving parents and caregivers a chance to rest, knowing their child is safe and thriving at camp.
One Day. One Gift. A Lifetime of Memories.
As camp costs rise, your gift brings stability and new opportunities to families of children wth disabilities in St. Louis County.
How To Give Early
Ready to help us reach our $5,000 goal? Giving early is simple:
1. Visit the Special Education Foundation page on the Give STL Day website.
2. Donate between now and May 6 to kick off the campaign strong and show your support early.
3. Double your impact: the first $2,500 donated will be matched by SEF friends, Pat and Ken Schutte.
For many families, camp is the difference between a stressful academic break and one filled with growth, stability, and opportunity.”
Join us in strengthening our community, one camper at a time. Let’s make 2026 our best Give STL Day yet!
